Laughter best medicine

finally just like chicken soup scientists have proven what we already know. Laughter is good for you. we all had that feeling of warm comfort in our bodies while laughing or enjoying friends or watching a funny movie.it is very interesting to note that just the idea that something funny will be watched soon raises beta-endorphins 27% showing a correlation to our anticipated responses positive vibration in the morphic field. then the effects of laughter last 12 to 24 hours of elevated immune response is fantastic testament to the power of laughter.

Talior made cells

the potential for medical cures is truly amazing as research finds ever newer ways to apply this breakthrough technology. just think we can regenerate organs while still in a living body. and regenerate cancer patients cell by cell. I believe that we are fastly approaching the time when our technology is reaching for the highest expression of human ideas. so only our imagination is needed to realize true healing miracles.

montana open season on wolves

I am a huge supporter of the balance of wildlife and reintroduction of wolves into yellowstone. over the years leading up to legislation to reintroduce the wolf voices of opposition argued that livestock would not be safe on yellowstones borders . now that same cry is heard to justify killing the same wolves released a decade ago. ther is a valid argument for magement of the popultion of wolves ain yellowstone to pevent conflict with land owners and ranchers . thus ensuring wolves in yellowstone for years to come.

human rights

I feel this whole semenya scandal could have been handled better, i wonder is this the first reported case of gender identification by society standards and also where a person makes a choice about what gender they want! then again every time someone gets a sex change operation they have made that choice. maybe someday we will all have both sex organs and wont have to choose wild huh!

Ecosystems strong and fragile

Ecosystems are only as strong as the weakest link in the chain of life for example if the deer population is decimated by disease then the mountain lions may not breed in the mating season. The way a eco system can best survive is to diversify. the cougars must eat prey like jackrabbits and other rodents to survive. it is a careful balance of nature that allows the web of life to continue

deep ecology platform

The deep ecology platform sound just like an idea my friends and thought up one night over wine and trivial pursuit. I always talked about the excess of American society the waste. and then on to the population and how no one should have children etc etc.Quality of life and intrinsic value are the keywords to live by for all sentient beings. only then can true harmony flourish.

Gene Evolution

the idea that our skin changed to pale to absorb vitamin D is far fetched at best. I do believe that It is possible that humans shifted their entire bone structure to adapt to a new agricultural lifestyle about 6,600 years ago.

Cancer and TCM

Our understanding of cancer is more advanced than ever we now have a basic understanding of how cells become cancerous and some conditions of why. but the question remains why a woman who smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day lives to a hundred but some children get cancer before there exposed to lifes toxins. so why do we get cancer? I think the TCM approach of identifying combinations of symptoms that contribute to the cancer enviroment like Damp -Phlegm in the body for a prolonged period has a more situational viewpoint on cancer. maybe by treating the disease in elements its easier to diffuse the pattern of disease.

Accupuncture Gaining popularity

It is nice to see a positive article about accupuncture in the press, seems like we dont get enough good stories. I always hear about some medical sudy done about accupuncture where something like toothpicks are being used on accupunture points saying that it is just as good with a placebo effect. very few stories are positive thus one is saying its growing in popularity!

Chimps and Things

Well back to the chimps and using tools . hmmm well i think they are an evolutionary dead end that are our closest cousins and they are learning on their own level now. what we need to do is find the gene split from early man DNA and modern man DNA and trace the divergent genes from our seeded past. i wonder when the first earth man made contact with the people of the saucers seen in every ancient cultures art murals.makes me think???

Living Systems

All living systems share a matrix or pattern of energy that create the living being. Living systems change and grow continually. tissues and organs replace their cells in continual cycles. With living systems there is growth, development and evolution.not so in a nonliving system. the bicycle example was so clear.

I love broccolli

Broccolli is one of my favorite vegtables to eat. they are full of vitamins and are counted as a dark leafy green for nutrition.eating dark leafy greens 3xweek boost the immune system against cancer and all other degenerative disease.the best way to eat broccolli is to steam it or eat it raw.thanks to super ingredients like I3C in broccolli and cabbage.

I vote for the chicken

This is just silly to me! somehow there had to me a chicken alive that adapted its reproduction around then someway it laid an egg to procreate and continue its species. otherwise it was a mutant that got produced by an alligator or something not epected.but definately an animal first!

Diversification

In the case of bird exticntion it is ever clearer that species diversification can safe gaurd a reservior of species thereby avoiding extinction. This model should be used to ensure the food stocks of corn and soybeans and all the other crops and grains the world depends on for food.otherwise we will lose all original integrity to gmo's.

Humans and Chimps

Even with all the so called evidence supposedly showing chimps as our closest relative. I am not convinced for one if we evolved from chimps then why are there still chimpanzes around? should'nt we all be human now and we should find fossils of chimps in the ground? I think chimpsanzes are a evolutionary dead end that got as far as we know chimps now. Humans today must have evolved from another evolutionary path? maybe from extra terrestial origin but then mixed with apes or animals to develp on a unique way to become us.

Dopamine 4 all

Such a pleasent feeling for all of us when our dopamine levels reach optimum that cresendo of good vibrations flows through all our nerve endings Ahhhhhh! now u can get the same effect without drugs. The yogis and shoalin monks have done it for centuries.the practice of deep breathimg through meditation for 20 mins or longer will release dopamine into your nervous system and allow a deeper sense of peace in mind and body. It also lowers cortisol levels and raises endorphins all over the body for serious stress relief.

Designer drugs

These days u can get a pill for just about anything u want from pain relief to anti-depressants. but a what cost ? studying TCM makes u realize that most pills just mask symptoms and the underlying problem goes untreated. leading to more serious problems down the road. We as a society are used to finding 30-second gratification even in our medicine. pilss are easy and quick just the way we like it!

Human Genetics

the study of human genetics is interesting like the story about tracing the gene pool through the ages to approximate homo sapiens entered the united states about 20,000 years ago. Also i found the information about NASA experiment finding life can begin in space just like it started here.but the best laugh of all came from Spontaneous Creation!

Prokaryotes and Archaea

well these are not like any bacteria i ever heard of before they are crazy! these tumble backwards and change sex through mutation or while mating "gross". OK so i wonder how did 56% of 1738 of the genes in Archaea remain unknown to science after all these years? But it is wonderful that we have found a new and different life form right here on earth!

PBS Evolution

what a stroke of luck! the HMS beagle was the perfect opportunity at the perfect time for young Darwin to launch his career. As the ships naturalist he got the chance of a lifetime to explore such fantastic biological wonders as the Galapagos Islands and the whole of the south pacific! i loved the videos from PBS and felt a real connection to Darwin as a young naturalist exploring the world for science. the sheer amount of specimens collected and sent back to England is remarkable. I think this was his greatest adventure which led to his groundbreaking theory. The origin of species.

Darwinism

Darwin strikes me as the kind of science pioneer that introduces us to an idea that's ground breaking. Darwin's documentation of vast amounts of empirical data and the first plausible theory of natural selection set the course of modern evolution.Darwin's ideas were years ahead of his contemporaries. I feel there is some truth to natural selection "the survival of the fittest".If combined with modern research on genetics it could still help formulate new ideas on evolution. i do not agree that all species evolved randomly but agree with Lamarck that organisms adapt and change to their environment. I think it is sometimes or frequently a rapid onset of changes.that make the shift in the species.I would like to see a new study on that!

EVO Devo

evolution is a truly developmental science that suprises us with amazing dicoveries that stretch the mind into new paradigms of theory. Now we can play god in many new ways like recreating wooly mammoths to fill amusement parks or regenerate organs using stem cells and animal hosts. this is evodevo on the cutting edge of todays technology. I am excited about the reintroduction of Grizzly bears into americas wilderness! but i also have questions. like, where are the ethical guidelines for us to follow?
how do we reap the benefits for mankind without becoming frankenstein?
which of us determines what is good science and what is not?

virtual brain

The deeper we delve into AI the more we come to realize the miracle that is the human brain. Even if we had the technology, i have a strange theory about building the perfect robot and how some spirit will find and inhabit this new life form. For without the spark of Life our organic bodies are also merely a shell.I noticed the Cortical Cortex simulation fired up looks like an Alex Grey painting. Awesome!
